Not as bad as most here seem to think!

I'll admit that I probably wouldn't recommend OurTime to my friends, but not for any of the reasons given here. I haven't had any problems with Nigerians or members asking for my contact information, and I had WAY more obviously fake profiles contact me on Match. The "free membership" that requires payment if you want to actually participate is identical to any other paying site, and I believe that making people pay weeds out some of the undesireables.

What I don't like about OurTime is that there are so few options to narrow your search results. I can search for astological sign, but I can't search for members with college degrees? What's that about? Only being able to search by age and location leads to contacts by way too many members that I'm just not interested in. If you want to screen for your personal preferences, you have to include it in your profile introduction -- and hope they read it!

Pros
Eliminates the old guys trolling for much younger women.

Cons
Not enough options for narrowing search results.

You obviously can't tell a Nigerian scammer from a real person.That's why they call them scammers.Don't let your guard down in your quest to meet someone.They steel photos from every age group.Our time is the worst of the worst and i still keep up with it because of the nice big clear photos that help me to expose these scammers.This comment was written out of concern for your safety,nothing more,nothing less.
