I am really sad to hear all of these bad reviews. I never joined because I'm just...well I just refused to because I could see that speed.date is the type of company that would take your money, so I never joined. But what I would do, if I felt a connection with someone in that 3 minutes, and trust me it was VERY FEW I can tell if someone is a complete waist of time, but if I felt a connection we would exchange skype ids within that time.

That was my first sign to weed out a scammers. See, scammers will NEVER do skype because when you see a person and their living environment you can see what type of person they are right away. So I have met two quality men , one became my BF and the other is a dear friend to this day. I also had a nice date from a very upstanding gentlemen. So this is my advice if you are going on speed date be VERY selective, don't pay, ask for SKYPE ids,this will weed out th

Pros
I would not recommend it even though it has worked for me, but I had to be very sly and out smart the system. If you are going to be on Speed date you have to be very vigilant and have a system not to be scammed, and not everyone is able to do that. So its best to be safe and spend your money on a sight like e-harmony or go on speed date and have a plan to out smart Speed Date and the Scammers.
