Beware of ANY profile featuring beautiful girls! These people are either men posing as the girl pictured, using photos stolen from somewhere, or ANY person attempting to cheat you out of a few bucks. Almost all of them will tell you they don't have a webcam or a cellphone. Even if you do see them on webcam, it's either prerecorded or a girl put up to it by a pimp-type boss. Many are "too good to be true" and when you tell them you can't afford to give money, they get nasty and end the chat...never to be heard from again!! This a classic case of the cunning preying on the stupid! Don't let it happen to you!
Pros
There most certainly are many genuine young ladys on Cupid who would make a great wife! I know this to be fact because I've lived in the Philippines for 3 years. My advice: If you are seriously concidering marrying a Filipina, GO THERE to begin your search in person. You can live for 30-60 days very inexpensively and properly court a lady in a more appropriate and efficient way. Stay away from big city girls (and big cities) You will be pleasantly surprized at the selection of fine young ladys. They are EASY to meet in public. It IS TRUE, they really don't put much importance on how you look. They value a real gentleman and focus on finding true love. Go about it the right way and you will not be disappointed!!
Cons
I don't have much confidence in the entire concept of internet dating when there's 8,000 miles between you and her! There really is no sure-fire way of connecting with a girl online and realizing her compatibility to you though chat and webcam. It makes all the difference in the world to be local and set up a simple date. You will learn more about her in the first 30 minutes than you would chatting for a month! Mistakes are easily and quickly chocked as history and the quest goes on. Read what I said above. You could spot her out in public, walk up and introduce yourself, and the next thing you know, you have a dinner date with her that night. No games, no waiting, no guessing! Good luck!
Review: TOTALLY FAKE!
Reply to Tgh, Who ever you are, how could you possibly know whether or not I've used FilipinoCupid?? The truth is; after 4 months of being a gold member, I documented 16 cases of "beauties" that led me on and repeated the same familiar pattern of requests for support (some verbatim). I played along with them and got 4 of them to give me a Western Union destination to send money. The information matched for all 4 different "girls" to send money to the same office at Davao on Mindanao, none of whom listed their address to be anywhere on Mindanao. Other "girls" chatted about their home town, unaware that I was simultaniously viewing close-up satellite images on Google Earth. They incorrectly answered every question I asked about that city. Some erroneously described the location of the city to be on the opposite side, or in the center of the island. Others misspelled the name of the city. One "girl" said she had 2 brothers and no sisters but on a later chat, I asked "So how's your sister?" She told me she's fine. One thing remained a constant; Sooner rather than later, the subject of money comes up, and when you flat-out decline any possibly of sending anything, that's it! Game over. I never heard from them again! My experience with "fc" began as it probably does with anyone, innocently looking for love. It ended with a detailed message to the administrators of fc, containing excerpts from my chats, and my subsequent disappointment. They know very well that this is going on, but it's hard to control. I had fun and don't really regret anything. The bottom line; If you really want to marry a Filipina, GO THERE and meet her face to face. It's the best way to find your WIFE. It's also easier and cheaper to do than you might think! There are some FINE young ladies just waiting to meet you! Make sure you brush your teeth and wear your best cologne, first impressions are very important! Good Luck
