Sad that Our Time is a poor site.

Review about OurTime

I believe Our Time is truly a bait and switch sort of site. I joined after viewing what I thought was decent looking over 50 men.

I was (am) basically looking for a site where men were looking for women their own age. Go figure. When the $$ were taken and the real men appeared, I thought, oh no, this looks like a Walmart shoppers gallery selection... is this truly serious men looking for a serious relationship?? Because the main photo of you in your wife beater undershirt may be a turn on in cell block B, but it's doing nothing for me here. Nor is the close up picture of you with teeth missing. The pictures that men post of their friends, family, pets and toys...oh and fish from their fishing adventures, well I'm like, uh, who is it you are actually trying to impress here? I'm really starting to think I'd have better luck in a bar at happy hour than I would have on this dating site. It's almost as bad as POF (plenty of fish) and that site is really a freak show.

I'm going to play out my month and see how it goes. I'm only a week into this so far. They are spending a lot of advertising $$ via TV and Radio, so I can just hope that some normal, that is non-walmart types join for at least a month like I did.

Big problem with their search though, and I can't seem to find an area where I can communicate to them it's not working. Their advance search doesn't work. I plub in the requirements I'm looking for which are divorced or widowed men, and when I do a search, seperated men show up in the search. That's just wrong. Sorry guys, but if you are "just" "seperated" you need to wait it out to you are divorced before you start dating... but that's just me... anyway, the advanced searching doesn't seem to work. I do NOT like that. Big bad!!! Get it right!!!

So with the walmart men, unworkable searching parameters... Out Time is presently not a good option.

Pros
Cheaper than Match and e-Harmony

Cons
