I have always loved Japan more than any Asian country and have always wanted to date a girl from there. I join Japancupid.com, create my profile, describing myself and everything I love about Japan. I upload photos and send TONS of messages. If I'm lucky, maybe......2 out of every 20 girls I message say anything back. Only half of them even read my messages or view my profile! I have two theories here:
1. Japanese women are racist as F#@$ and will not talk to foreigners on any circumstances or just don't like me no matter how nice I am to them.
2. Japancupid.com is a generic, corporate, money-grabbing site part of an entire scamming network with fake profiles and/or hired prostitutes who go after select men.
*Based on many other reviewers, my second theory sounds more accurate. I have heard too many good things about Japan to believe my first. Therefore I will moving to another Japanese dating site.
I signed up for all of one day because I found that this program is a little too simple in that there are no useful options for setting the location of a search (or if there are, they're too hard to find, which is basically the same thing), and your location setting is extracted from your phone or pc hardware and can't be edited (or if it can, no one seems to know how). What this means is that when you sign on, your profile location is set (and displayed) as your current location, which is basically like having a tracking device on you that tells everyone exactly where you are. That's too much of a violation of my privacy for my taste. It also makes it impossible to look for people to chat with who live near you (as opposed to where you currently are) when you're traveling away from your local area. Skout can still be a good way to meet people but you have to consider its limitations and be careful about what information it broadcasts.
Also, I couldn't find any kind of reasonable help on either the phone app or website versions of Skout, so if you have any questions you have to rely on an internet search, which isn't much help at all.

I've been on the website for a about 2 weeks now and have received quite a few a messages but they are definate issues I'm having. First, the majority of the guys pay for a premium membership so their messages won't be screened but don't get paid to get verified. Maybe one out of 10 guys will even have a picture and some aren't willing to even send you one because "the internet is forever and they need to be discreet". Obviously I'm not going to go meet with a stranger that I don't even know what he looks like.
Others are very arrogant and basically just want you to come sleep with them on the 1st date and if you say your not a prostitute and not willing to come have sex right away they want to get an attitude.

I have been on and off this site for a few years now. Initially it was good but the last two years I have to say there are so many fake profiles on it. You get mail from women and they let you see their photos and then as soon as you say lets meet they block you ! You cannot delete your profile and when it says it has over 800,000 'active' members, that is a complete lie. There are on average 600 members online at any one time and a lot of the ladies have been on there for years ! This site should be investigated as as per other complaints on here, best going to a bar and blowing the money on some champagne, at least you will meet a lady there

4) Pictures sent from someone posing at the site had no digital signature - means they either came from the Web or were edited.

This site is a spin off of Blackcrush. It has the same format and is identical, check it out and see for yourself. Blackcrush has lots of fake profiles and automated messages and is exspensive to join. There is never that many women online the few there are the same ones. Brothers don't waste your time and hard earned money.
Gaydating.com is a scam. I let my membership lapse 2-3 times due to not ever getting much interest from other members, and each time it did, I suddenly began receiving notifications - daily - that members were sending me mail... all I had to do was re-subscribe to read them. When I finally did get hooked in and would pay to subscribe again, none of these members ever wrote back... and strangely enough, I was far and away very different from what they said they were looking for in their profiles. It became more and more obvious these were computer generated, especially when I received three in one day and I logged on to find my profile had been deleted! I wrote to the site and told them my suspicions, but despite their claim they would reply to me within 24 hours, they never wrote back. This is an example of a site that seriously needs to be investigated... they'll do whatever they can to get your money.

I started to suspect this site just by the photos. All the photos look like they are just too professionally done which indicates these may be models from a professional model site.
I received about two letters from this one woman. Of course, the English is quite bad and she says she was mistaken about her kid. Mistaken?? Okay, whatever and I thought these women are suppose to be using professional translators but I see that is not the case here. One in particular, platino previously entusiasmo in spain using the photos of galina verhot**** in the ukraine. galina works for the wwf so we sent a message to galina, spoke to the wwf offices in london and the usa hq to raise concerns that their employee's photos were being used and because she phoned a swedish friend claiming she was in london and knew us (she doesn't). platino appears to be hiding her profile on cs but the fake photos still show on cs. I don't know why her details have not been removed.
Other members know and reported her profile and a member chris27*****has her on his friend list. The pair of them were involved in a forum thread called the secret lounge started by a member called bluefish.. who has also had various profiles who used this thread along with maxmate*, butterfly*** to accuse other members using their real names and information about them. The odd thing is the troublemakers were allowed to remain on the site while the others were banned for standing up for themselves which raises the question who is running that site exactly?
It seems that there are quite a few problematic people on this site with serious issues and they tend to enjoy stirring and attacking new members or anyone who has an opinion different to them. One of the worse members on there is jac*** who thinks she is superior because of some outdated psychology degree and tolerated at best because she claims she has dyslexia and autism but you cannot believe everything these people say on there. One minute they are friends, then enemies. It's sometimes a ploy for attention and boring.
Some of these members even revive old threads from years back or make threads about members who left. The ones who left are the lucky ones preserving their sanity.
It's disheartening really to see adults behave the way they do. Some of them claim on the public forums they have been victims of incest and/or rape. Who knows but odd to write things like that on public forums? Alot of very sad, lonely attention seeking people on there.

Smells like a scam to me and what is worse, this letter was sent to me not once, but twice......perhaps from two different people........who knows. This woman looks like Angelina Jolie, very attractive, nice shape........definitely professional model photos with some downplayed photos put in the mix.
Okay, if anybody is reading this, do yourself a favor and try one of the other sites such as filipinoheart.com if you are into women from parts of Southeast Asia or afrointrocution.com if you are into African women, but it just doesn't stop there. These type of sites have sister sites for all races, cultures, ethnicities, etc. The price for a Gold membership is only $29.99 per month and within that month, you can correspond with as many women as you please. And they even call me by phone. Of course, with these type of sites, there will be your occasional scammer, but not many. Do not worry about these women wanting money. Many of them do work and are very independent. I have been associated with this one woman from the Philippines for about a year now and she mentioned their electricity was about to be turned off and when I offered to help, she said "No, please don't." Stay away from CharmingDate.com, but I have to admit, their sister companies iDateAsia.com and Chn.Love.com seems to be a bit better and more trustworthy, but still, the payment scale is the same since all the sites operate in the same manner, but I was able to meet what seemed to be sincere members..........
If you want to be sure, do the other sites for that small monthly fee which will give you endless opportunities to meet as many women as possible. Believe me, one month is probably all you need. Some may just send you a notification that they are "interested", but the Gold membership offers the woman a chance to write to you so I tend to look at the women who correspond by writing. One in particular, platino previously entusiasmo in spain using the photos of galina verhot**** in the ukraine. galina works for the wwf so we sent a message to galina, spoke to the wwf offices in london and the usa hq to raise concerns that their employee's photos were being used and because she phoned a swedish friend claiming she was in london and knew us (she doesn't). platino appears to be hiding her profile on cs but the fake photos still show on cs. I don't know why her details have not been removed.
Other members know and reported her profile and a member chris27*****has her on his friend list. The pair of them were involved in a forum thread called the secret lounge started by a member called bluefish.. who has also had various profiles who used this thread along with maxmate*, butterfly*** to accuse other members using their real names and information about them. The odd thing is the troublemakers were allowed to remain on the site while the others were banned for standing up for themselves which raises the question who is running that site exactly?
It seems that there are quite a few problematic people on this site with serious issues and they tend to enjoy stirring and attacking new members or anyone who has an opinion different to them. One of the worse members on there is jac*** who thinks she is superior because of some outdated psychology degree and tolerated at best because she claims she has dyslexia and autism but you cannot believe everything these people say on there. One minute they are friends, then enemies. It's sometimes a ploy for attention and boring.
Some of these members even revive old threads from years back or make threads about members who left. The ones who left are the lucky ones preserving their sanity.
It's disheartening really to see adults behave the way they do. Some of them claim on the public forums they have been victims of incest and/or rape. Who knows but odd to write things like that on public forums? Alot of very sad, lonely attention seeking people on there.
What makes me laugh is that it does not take long to find out who is who as they are all pals on another networking site. Some of them have nothing better to do than plot behind the scenes there next veiled attacks on members. Maybe that's why things got out of hand with the secret lounge thread. They are all as bad as each other really.
